North Zealand Choir School builds aspirants for The Danish Girls' Choir of Fredensborg Chapel. Currently we have about 130 singers at choir school.
Audition
If you wish to apply for admission to The Danish Girls' Choir of Fredensborg Chapel, you can always contact our conductor Cille Buch and hear about your possibilities. It's free to sing with us. In addition to a lot of good musical experiences, you also get voice training and a basic musical education.
We are always interested in getting more talented singers in the choir, so do not hesitate to submit your application.
The audition - Requirements
The Girls’ Choir admits singers from 8th grade and above. Typically, singers are admitted from The Youth Choir of North Zealand, but you are also very welcome to apply for direct admission.
For the audition, you will be alone with our conductor, Cille Buch, who will hear you in the following disciplines:
- Voice exercises
- Echo singing
- Rhythm exercises
- Two verses by heart of a self-chosen Danish song or hymn (not a pop song)
- A self-chosen choral part from “Sommersalme” (Det dufter lysegrønt af græs), sung in three-part harmony together with two singers from FSP
- Accompanied sight-reading at an easy level
- Aural skills test
