North Zealand Choir School builds aspirants for The Danish Girls' Choir of Fredensborg Chapel. Currently we have about 130 singers at choir school.
Audition
If you wish to apply for admission to The Danish Girls' Choir of Fredensborg Chapel, you can always contact our conductor Cille Buch and hear about your possibilities. It's free to sing with us. In addition to a lot of good musical experiences, you also get voice training and a basic musical education.
We are always interested in getting more talented singers in the choir, so do not hesitate to submit your application.
The audition - Requirements
The choir admits singers from 8th grade. Typically admitted from Nordsjælland Youth Choir, but you can easily apply for direct admission.
For the audition, you will be alone with our conductor, Cille Buch, who will hear you in the following disciplines:
- Two verses of a self-selected Danish song (not a pop song)
- First verse of "I østen stiger solen op" (sung alone and two-voiced with Cille)
- Voice exercises
- Listening exercises
